Release notes

This build is version 1.5.2.

  1. 1.5.2

    2026-09-27
    • If you sign up with an address that already has an account, no new code is sent. The verification screen now says so and points you to signing in or resetting your password, instead of leaving you waiting for a code that was never coming.
  2. 1.5.1

    2026-09-27
    • Pressing Escape on the session warning now keeps you signed in, the same as the button does. It used to do nothing.
  3. 1.5.0

    2026-09-27
    • If a page ever stops working, you now get a message, a button to get back and a way to tell us about it, instead of a blank screen.
  4. 1.4.1

    2026-09-27
    • In dark mode, the "Are you still there?" heading on the session warning was pale text on a pale card and could not be read. The card is dark now, so the question is legible.
  5. 1.4.0

    2026-09-27
    • Report a bug from your account menu. It picks up the page you were on, the version you are running and your browser, so you only have to say what happened, and it gives you a reference to quote if you email us about it.
  6. 1.3.0

    2026-09-25
    • There is a bell in the header now. It tells you on the day a training streak is about to end, and when a free trial is about to run out.
    • Opening a notice takes you to the page where you can do something about it.
    • Dismissing a notice clears it on your other devices too, not just the one in front of you.
  7. 1.2.0

    2026-09-24
    • The newsletter signup has moved out of the footer into its own section just above it, so it is easier to find and easier to read.
    • The Sign up button now responds when you hover over it.
  8. 1.1.1

    2026-09-23
    • The message shown after signing up no longer asks you to confirm. Nothing needs confirming: a welcome email simply arrives.
  9. 1.1.0

    2026-09-23
    • You can now sign up for the Bottle Blue newsletter from the footer, and on some pages from a small prompt that appears once and stays dismissed if you close it. Occasional updates about what we are building. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
  10. 1.0.0

    2026-09-20
    • Apparatus Ready is out of beta. The CPAT reference, the training log, the practice questions and the adaptive exam have all been in use, and the version in the footer should say so.
  11. 1.0.0-beta.9

    2026-09-20
    • The sign-in page could not be scrolled after an inactivity sign-out. Being signed out for being idle, or pressing Sign out on the warning itself, left the page frozen in place until you reloaded it.
  12. 1.0.0-beta.8

    2026-09-20
    • Signing out now signs you out everywhere. If you had the app open in more than one tab, the others used to carry on showing your account until you reloaded them. They now return to the sign-in page as soon as any tab signs out, whether you pressed Sign out or the inactivity warning ran down.
    • The inactivity warning can now be used with a keyboard or a screen reader. It moves you straight to the "I'm still here" button when it appears, keeps the Tab key inside the warning while it is up, and puts you back where you were when it closes.
  13. 1.0.0-beta.7

    2026-09-19
    • Fixed a stray highlight line above and below the page content, most visible on a phone.
  14. 1.0.0-beta.6

    2026-09-19
    • Practice tests and the NREMT simulation now return you to the top of each new question. You no longer have to scroll up every time you press Next, and your score appears at the top of the results rather than part-way down them.
    • Tapping Edit on a piece of gear now takes you to the form. It used to open above the part of the list you were looking at, so on a long checklist it looked as though nothing had happened.
    • The page no longer scrolls behind the menu, the sign-out warning or any other dialog, so you come back to where you left off. This was particularly wrong on iPhone and iPad.
    • Screen reader and keyboard fixes: every page now has a proper main region and moves focus into it, so you are not sent back to the top of the page on every move.
  15. 1.0.0-beta.5

    2026-09-19
    • The reset password page works again. It referred to something that did not exist and failed to render at all.
    • Resetting your password now checks the full password rule before sending, and both the signup and reset forms state the rule before you submit instead of only after a failed attempt.
    • Subscribing is faster. The Upgrade button no longer waits on a payment script to load before it can do anything.
  16. 1.0.0-beta.4

    2026-09-19
    • The footer now says which addresses our email comes from, and that payments are processed by Stripe rather than held by us. The email line had been written a long time ago and had never actually appeared on the page.
    • The version number moved to the bottom of the footer, where it sits in every other Bottle Blue app, and the footer spacing now matches them too.
  17. 1.0.0-beta.3

    2026-09-16
    • You can now find us on LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Bluesky. The links are at the bottom of every page.
    • The release notes page now reads as a page rather than as the file behind it, with each version and its changes laid out instead of shown as raw text.
  18. 1.0.0-beta.2

    2026-09-16
    • Idle sign-out now works in a background tab. The 60-second warning counted timer ticks, and a hidden tab's timers are throttled to about one per minute, so signing out took about 75 minutes instead of 16.
    • The version in the footer is now a link to these notes.
  19. 1.0.0-beta.1

    2026-09-16
    • A front door at the top level, so the site says what the product is before you sign in.
    • The CPAT guide, the CPR reference and the knot reference are readable without an account.
    • Those reference pages no longer send a signed-out reader into a sign-in wall when they follow a link.
    • A practice exam picked up after a break could score some answers against the wrong choices, because the answer order was rebuilt differently on the way back in. Fixed. A sitting that was already in progress before this fix is discarded rather than resumed, because the order it was taken in is no longer recoverable.
    • Deleting an API key now asks for confirmation. It used to delete straight away, and a deleted key cannot be brought back.
    • Switching between Bottle Blue apps works on a phone. The launcher was only reachable on a wide screen.
    • The header marks the page you are on, so it reads correctly and is announced correctly.
    • The loading spinner, and every screen that centres its content, sits in the middle of a phone screen rather than below the middle of it.
    • The browser tab shows the Apparatus Ready shield instead of a plain lettered tile.
    • The product name is in the accessibility tree again, so screen readers announce the brand in the header and the footer.
    • Shared links carry a preview image, and repeat visits load faster.
